We are looking for an assistant (with previous experience in the travel agency space) to join our team.

We are a home-based/mobile travel agency, offering a unique approach to booking travel. We are a relationship-driven company. We put the relationships with our clients – and our team – above all else. We care about our clients, and with 10+ years experience selling travel, we do our best to create the ultimate travel experience for every single booking.

START DATE: ASAP

JOB TITLE: ADMIN/PERSONAL ASSISTANT

Pay: $25.00/hour

Minimum Weekly Hours: 15 (somewhat flexible)

Weekly Wage: $375.00 + SuperAnnuation.

Work Schedule: 10am – 3pm. MONDAY / TUESDAY / FRIDAY (flexible days available).

Place of work:

Monday – Work alongside Travel Agent directly all day – flexible meeting location for the right candidate. 

Tuesday – Work from Home (be accessible by phone/email)

Friday – Work from Home (be accessible by phone/email)

INCENTIVES & BONUSES also available and to be discussed during Interview.

New Laptop provided for the successful applicant (with all systems built in and ready for use).

The successful applicant MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with Sabre GDS system
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a Retail Travel Agent 
  • Reliable Internet connection
  • Reliable attention-to-detail
  • Printer (at home)
  • Ability to learn new systems 
  • Ability to show initiative and come up with ideas to help achieve the business goals
  • Ability to follow instructions clearly
  • Intention of 2+ years working commitment (we want your skills – and pay – to grow as we grow)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

  • Assist Travel Agency to improve their service, and offer more to our clients
  • Free up time and mental space for the Travel Agent owner and any of its consultants
  • Use experience with Travel Agent systems and suppliers to quote & book on behalf of Travel Agent consultants
  • Serve as a personal assistant to the Travel Agent owner (allowing them to do more in other endeavors outside of this business)
  • Help grow all of our KPIs (customer numbers, conversion rate, etc)

YOUR JOB WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Carry out tasks provided by Travel Agent owner
  • Create travel bookings with airlines, hotels, tour companies & more
  • Create quotes and invoices to send to clients 
  • Call airlines, wholesalers, & more to ask questions, relay info, etc
  • Prepare tickets/travel documents
  • Contact & liaise with clients for extra-services (eg. seating, meal requests, visas, etc)
  • Sort through and action Flight time-changes, ‘Q’s’, etc
  • Some accounting, using XERO software, Tramada, & more (training to be offered)
  • Organise company collateral and merchandise (ticket wallets, pens, etc)
  • Scheduling in service calls, messages, etc using software and email reminders
  • Organising meetings and events
  • Some social media management
  • Creating marketing material (using apps like Canva)
  • Personal TASKS
  • Contacting Banks & other entities
  • Online purchases
  • Other requests as they come up – with the idea of saving time for Owner
