Are you an experienced and passionate travel consultant keen to get back to booking amazing trips around the world?

We are a boutique leisure travel agency built largely on repeat clientele & referrals, that is now expanding to a shop front location in Mordialloc (500m from the beach!) to welcome new clients and grow our business.

We are on the search for an experienced travel consultant, with a track record of high sales performance, an existing database of loyal clients, and someone with a bit of personality that is wanting to be a part of an exciting growth journey for our business.

 

JOB TITLE: FULL TIME Travel Consultant

Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 + Commissions + Super

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Are you an experienced and passionate travel consultant keen to get back to booking amazing trips around the world?

We will be open 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 9am – 1pm.

You will work 4 days/week in the shop, and be permitted to also work 1 day from home.

This job will perfectly suit someone who LOVES crafting and booking holidays for their clients, who wants a relaxed & fun environment to work in, and can slot into our team nicely to continue doing what they do best.

Duties & Responsibilities:

– Your daily work will include preparing and booking holiday quotes to clients, using SABRE for airline quoting and reservations, and using TRAMADA for invoicing.

– You will also quote and book hotels, car hire, travel insurance and everything else required to make our client’s trips fantastic. We want to be a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all things travel bookings for our clients.

– You will also be required to service NEW clients, that will come into our shop, email us, or call us with their enquiries.

Skills required:

Communication – EXCELLENT communication skills across all formats; written, phone and in-person.

Computer/Websites – computer literacy, experience with booking on websites, online proficiency, and some understanding of marketing, social media, etc. Also able to learn new systems quickly.

Administration – Meticulous attention to detail, effective organisation and time management, able to work on various accounts at any one time. You will have the luxury of a relaxed work environment, with great flexibility – it is important you are a self-starter, and can avoid unnecessary errors without supervision.

Experience with working unsupervised and strong work ethic.

Team player – comfortable working with other people, and respectful of everyone’s needs and personalities.

A minimum of 1 years Sabre GDS experience. Experience with Tramada preferred.

Upon employment, we will pay for your study of one of the below. This is a requirement, though the upskilling will be a great benefit for you, and only requires approx 1-2 hours/week, done INSIDE the working hours.

JOB TITLE: PART TIME Travel Consultant

Salary: $28,000 – $30,000 + Commissions + Super

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Same as above, though this position will be available for someone to work 2 days/week in the shop, plus 1 day/week from home.

 

JOB TITLE: ADMIN & MARKETING ASSISTANT

START DATE: NEGOTIABLE

Pay: $25.00/hour (negotiable for the right candidate)

Weekly Hours: 5-15 (flexible)

Place of work:

A combination of work-from-home, with the possibility of being required to come in for a day in our Mordialloc office (negotiable, for the right candidate)

INCENTIVES & BONUSES also available and to be discussed during Interview.

NOTE: We are wanting someone who is willing and excited to grow with us. Whether a part-time employee or a contract role to a sole-trader, we want someone who is prepared to stay on with us for a while. We want to invest in YOU and provide you with plenty of work into the future.

The successful applicant MUST HAVE:

  • Experience with social media management & growth
  • Experience and proven track record with running Paid social media advertising campaigns
  • Experience with WordPress websites management/updating
  • Experience with MAILCHIMP; sending marketing emails, updates to clients, surveys, etc
  • Experience working as a Retail Travel Agent or in the Travel Industry preferable (but not essential)
  • Reliable Internet connection
  • Meticulous attention-to-detail
  • Ability (and willingness) to learn computer systems
  • Experience dealing with suppliers, 3rd parties, customers by phone and/or by email
  • Printer (at home)
  • Ability to learn new systems 
  • Ability to show initiative and come up with ideas to help achieve the business goals
  • Ability to follow instructions clearly
  • Ability to recognise opportunities to streamline processes and improve them

Contract OR Part-Time available.

Desired Outcomes:

  • Responsible for the brand image and messaging of the business
  • Responsible for attracting new client enquiry, and bookings
  • Guidelines provided to work within, PLUS your own creativity to meet project goals
  • Manage and grow social media accounts
  • Run Ad campaigns 
  • Manage and update our website
  • Monthly KPIs (Enquiries, task completion)
  • Email marketing (Mailchimp)
  • Email Blasts with updates etc to clients
  • Customers:
  • Bon Voyage & Welcome home scheduling
  • Follow Up emails/calls for additional bookings or questions
  • Tickets/Travel Docs
  • Referral campaigns
  • Surveys

GOAL: Bring in 15 enquiries/month.

The ‘Admin’ Side Of The Role:

  • Assist Travel Agency to improve their service, and offer more to our clients
  • Back end accounting, invoicing, and dealing with travel-agent systems and booking platforms
  • Use some Travel Agent systems and suppliers to quote & book on behalf of Travel Agent consultants
  • Help grow all of our KPIs (customer numbers, conversion rate, etc)

NOTE: See job outline below for the ‘admin’ side of the role. Please note however, for the time being, we are looking for someone to fulfill the marketing side of the role, so the below may not be relevant. We can discuss in interview.

YOUR JOB WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE BELOW.

  • Carry out tasks provided by Travel Agent owner
  • Create travel bookings with airlines, hotels, tour companies & more
  • Create quotes and invoices to send to clients 
  • Call airlines, wholesalers, & more to ask questions, relay info, etc
  • Prepare tickets/travel documents
  • Contact & liaise with clients for extra-services (eg. seating, meal requests, visas, etc)
  • Sort through and action Flight time-changes, ‘Q’s’, etc
  • Some accounting, using XERO software, Tramada, & more (training to be offered)
  • Organise company collateral and merchandise (ticket wallets, pens, etc)
  • Scheduling in service calls, messages, etc using software and email reminders
  • Organising meetings and events
  • Some social media management
  • Creating marketing material (using apps like Canva)
  • Personal TASKS
  • Contacting Banks & other entities
  • Online purchases
  • Other requests as they come up – with the idea of saving time for Owner
